10 Hospitalized After Motorcycle Crashes Into Pedestrians at Brooklyn Park

Ten people were hospitalized after a motorcycle operator lost control and crashed into pedestrians at Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday evening, authorities said.

Motorcycle Crashes Into Crowd

The incident occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m. on June 28 near the intersection of Flushing Avenue and Navy Street, adjacent to the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

According to authorities, the operator of a three-wheeled motorcycle or motorized scooter lost control of the vehicle and veered into a group of people inside Commodore Barry Park.

Nine pedestrians were struck during the crash.

Victims Taken to Hospitals

Emergency crews responded quickly and transported all 10 injured individuals—including the motorcycle operator—to nearby hospitals.

Officials said four of the injured pedestrians remain in critical condition, while five others are listed in stable condition. The operator suffered minor injuries and is also reported to be in stable condition.

Investigation Underway

The New York Police Department continues to investigate what caused the operator to lose control of the vehicle.

No arrests have been made, and officials have not announced whether any charges are expected as the investigation remains ongoing.
