Man Fatally Shot Outside North Side Bar in Chicago’s Lincoln Park
A 30-year-old man was fatally shot following a physical fight outside a bar in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood late Sunday night, police said.
Shooting Followed Physical Altercation
According to the Chicago Police Department, officers responded at approximately 11:43 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, to the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue.
Investigators said a physical altercation broke out on the sidewalk outside the King of Cups bar before an unidentified individual pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots, striking the 30-year-old man.
Victim Dies at Hospital
The victim was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition.
Despite lifesaving efforts, he later died from his injuries, police said.
Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity pending notification of family members.
Suspect in Custody
Chicago police recovered a firearm at the scene.
One suspect is in custody, and charges are pending as detectives continue investigating the fatal shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
