Storm Team4 Forecast: Cool starts, mild days as dry stretch continues

We are approaching the middle of what is likely to be our longest stretch of dry weather since the first half of April.
We’ve not had any rain since last Saturday and there’s not even a tiny chance for a sprinkle of rain until MAYBE next Thursday. Even that chance is a long shot, and it’s possible that our next raindrops don’t get here until November.
That makes the “is it going to rain?” part of the forecast is simple: No, it isn’t.
This dry pattern isn’t just for us. It’s likely to be dry for all of the next 7 days from the Mississippi River eastbound all the way to the Eastern Seaboard and from the Great Lakes South to the Gulf Coast.

Temperatures will remain fairly close to average over this long dry spell. Most of the DMV made it just above 70° on Tuesday afternoon but will stay in the mid-60s today and tomorrow.
We’ll turn just a bit cooler for Friday and Saturday when highs will only reach the low-60s.
Sunday will return to the mid/upper 60s and we’re likely to be back in the low-70s early next week.
Overnight lows will be mainly in the 40s tonight and tomorrow night. Saturday morning and Sunday morning, however, will be colder. Plan for mid/upper 30s with scattered frost possible outside of the urban areas.
Running weather for the Marine Corps Marathon on Sunday will be almost ideal. Near 40° at 7am in the staging areas, near 60° by noon and mid-60s by 2pm with sunny skies and almost no breeze at all.
