Two people were injured after a suspect allegedly opened fire with a BB/pellet gun during the World Naked Bike Ride in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday morning. The Los Angeles Police Department said a suspect has been taken into custody.

Shooting Occurred During Cycling Event

According to police, the incident happened around 11 a.m. on June 27, 2026, near the intersection of Temple Street and Alameda Street in downtown Los Angeles.

Investigators said the suspect, who was riding a motorized scooter, allegedly fired a BB/pellet gun into a crowd participating in the World Naked Bike Ride. Witnesses described the suspect as wearing all black and having prominent face tattoos.

Two People Treated for Minor Injuries

Authorities said two adult men were struck during the incident.

The Los Angeles Fire Department treated both victims at the scene for minor lacerations and skin injuries. Officials said the injuries were not considered life-threatening, and neither victim required hospitalization.

Suspect Arrested

Police said the suspect fled the area on the scooter following the shooting.

Officers later located and arrested the individual near a federal building without incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet released additional information about potential charges.
