Morgan Fairchild started acting in the ’70s, but it was really after she landed the lead role in “Flamingo Road” in 1980 that her career took off. From there, she became a mainstay on soap operas and TV shows throughout the decade. While she continued to snag roles in iconic series into the ’90s, with Fairchild playing Matthew Perry’s onscreen mother on “Friends” and guest starring on “Roseanne,” she was a star of the ’80s through and through. Decades have gone by, but time has done little to dim Fairchild’s beauty.

Fairchild, who celebrated her 76th birthday in 2026, is aging like fine wine. As the pictures from 1986 and 2026 below show, the actor still has incredible skin that gives her younger self a run for her money. She may have ditched the ’80s purple makeup and glossy pink lipstick for a more modern smokey look, but she hasn’t changed all that much aside from the generational aesthetic differences. Besides, she is still rocking the platinum-blond hair of her heyday. She also seemingly still harbors a love for hoop earrings  — and bangs.

Her fans are always amazed by how good she looks. “You’re looking fabulous as ever,” an Instagram user raved under a May 2026 picture. The netizen was hardly the only one. “Patsy Ann McClenny you’re still a babe!” another fan gushed, using Fairchild’s real name. In a January 2026 post featuring a photo from the ’70s, fans highlighted her enduring looks. “An iconic beauty then, an iconic beauty now,” a netizen commented. Fairchild certainly puts in effort to look the way she does, but she doesn’t obsess about it.

Morgan Fairchild’s approach to beauty has stayed the same

Morgan Fairchild has always been into makeup and such. In 1984, she penned “Super Looks,” a style guidebook of beauty tips. Her philosophy has remained largely unchanged since those days, though she joked she requires more of everything nowadays. “Healthy eating, exercise, lots of water, and then slap on the goo! Obviously, as you age, you actually need to be even more steadfast in sticking to the healthy parts, and slather on the creams and serums,” she told Photobook magazine in 2024.

Fairchild also joked that she has all those beauty tips to thank for her incredible looks today. “I paint out more dents and wrinkles now, too! It’s all TRICKS!” she shared. Despite her approach staying pretty much unchanged, her attitude toward how she looks has changed — for the better. “It’s also great to hit that age where you just don’t give a damn what people think!” she continued.

Even though Hollywood can be notoriously cruel with aging actors, particularly women, Fairchild believes society’s expectations of what’s acceptable and what isn’t have improved since her youth. “I grew up with the old star system where they said you couldn’t go out to the grocery store without putting on all your makeup — don’t unleash yourself on people unless you’re put together,” she told Closer Weekly in 2014. While she continues to believe in taking care of her body (Fairchild swears by the keto diet for weight management), she has found it freeing to relax about her looks. “I’ll go to the grocery store in a T-shirt and workout pants,” she explained.
