Autopsy Report Released Months After New Jersey Mom’s Fatal Home Stabbing
An autopsy report has shed new light on the death of a new mother who was found fatally stabbed inside her home in an affluent New Jersey community.
Brooke Hanlon, 35, was discovered dead at her residence on Pottersville Road in Chester, New Jersey, investigators said. She is survived by her 1-year-old daughter.
Hanlon’s husband, Conor, has publicly denied having any role in her death.
Morris County Medical Examiner Dr. Di Wang performed the autopsy on June 7, one day after Hanlon was found dead. The examination identified “sharp force injuries” as the cause of death, according to NorthJersey.com.
The report, which is heavily redacted, names the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Chester Police Department as “present” during the examination.
The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has not announced any arrests or identified a person of interest in the ongoing homicide investigation.

Jennifer Payne, Hanlon’s friend from graduate school and former roommate, previously told Fox News Digital that the lack of updates had been “confusing, heartbreaking and incredibly frustrating.”
Payne also provided Fox News Digital with exclusive photographs of the two friends from their time living in Boston and the years afterward.
According to a 911 call obtained by Fox News Digital, Hanlon’s husband was the first person to find her unresponsive.
During the frantic call, he told the dispatcher that there was “a laceration” on his wife’s body as the operator instructed him on how to perform CPR.
Months after the killing, neighbors on Pottersville Road told Fox News Digital that Hanlon’s husband had regularly returned to the Chester home and was spending nights there.
Before that, he had been dividing his time between Chester and the Boston area, where his family lives.
Hanlon’s family previously told Fox News Digital that they had “full and unwavering confidence in the investigative efforts of law enforcement.”
