Woman riding motorcycle killed on Ontario Street feeder ramp downtown

A woman from Chicago’s Northwest Side was killed when the motorcyclist she was driving hit a concrete wall Wednesday afternoon on the Kennedy Expressway.

Just before 3 p.m. Wednesday, Kaitlin Rose Wagner Zbonski, 29, was traveling on the Ontario Street feeder ramp when she struck a concrete wall and went over the wall, landing on the southbound lanes of traffic, Illinois state police said.

Zbonski, of Chicago’s Northwest Side, was taken to a Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 3:51 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Several lanes were shut down and reopened around 6 p.m., officials said.
