U.S. Intel Witnesses in 2025 UFO Orb Case May Testify to Congress

US intelligence officials who reportedly witnessed a strange procession of orange orbs—including smaller objects said to have emerged from a massive “mothership” orb—could be invited to testify before Congress, Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.) told The Post.

The officials said they encountered the objects during a mission near an undisclosed military base on the West Coast in late 2025.

According to an FBI report released by the Trump administration in May, several orange orbs flew alongside the officials’ helicopter as “countless” smaller objects moved in every direction, with mountains visible in the background.

The report says one smaller, oval-shaped orb—described as orange, white and yellow—approached the helicopter before splitting into two separate objects.

Burlison said he would examine whether the witnesses could appear publicly before lawmakers, while cautioning that revealing their identities could risk exposing sensitive intelligence.

“There’s some people that are working for the agency that having them come forward publicly may expose other things,” he said. “And so that’s a good place to explore and I’m happy to look into that to see if that’s a possibility.”

One witness works for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and is a career bureaucrat who is not publicly known, Burlison said.

The congressman said some of the witnesses have briefed lawmakers privately, but have not provided all of the video reportedly recorded during the encounter.

Avi Loeb, who leads the Trump-created UAP Scientific Advisory Council, told The Post that he has not viewed any of the footage allegedly captured during the mission.

The advisory council also has not spoken with the witnesses, although Loeb said he would welcome an opportunity to question them.

“The only concern that the witnesses should have is about revealing classified information with relevance to national security. This would be restricted to human-made technologies,” Loeb said.

He added: “Any information to do with technologies of a non-human origin is fully protected by the declassification directive from President Trump and the NDA-waiver issued by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Pentagon.”

“Separate from these protections from any legal repercussions, the significance of unraveling technologies of non-human origin supersedes any concerns that witnesses might have,” he said.

Loeb said he and fellow council members also hope to visit the alleged encounter site so they can investigate the reported objects directly.

“If we are informed of the location and other details of this unusual encounter, we can go there and obtain high quality data. This could help us figure out the nature of the mysterious orbs,” he said.

“Personally, I would love to facilitate any such revelation since it would constitute the biggest discovery ever made by humanity.”
