One Philadelphia police officer was fatally shot, while another remained in critical condition after an apparent ambush early Saturday morning.
Officers were dispatched shortly after midnight to a report of an armed man on a porch in the 100 block of North 52nd Street in West Philadelphia.
According to WPVI, the officers came under heavy gunfire as soon as they stepped onto the porch.
