Olivia Colman Trades Her Signature Dark Pixie For Long Gray Curls, And Just Wow – The List

Olivia Colman has a whole new look, and it’s definitely working for her. Colman has certainly undergone a stunning transformation since she first entered the spotlight. For the most part, though, we’ve grown accustomed to her signature look: a brunette pixie cut. We all know how much a hair cut and a bit of dye can totally change your appearance. Interestingly though, for Colman, it seems that it was the exact opposite that gave her a major makeover.

When asked to picture what Colman looks like, most people surely imagine “The Crown” star with her usual style of super-short hair. On September 28, 2026, though, she turned that look on its head — no pun intended. Colman arrived at the premiere of her new movie “Wicker” at the Zurich Film Festival. It’s safe to guess that some people didn’t even recognize the star when she passed them on the red carpet. She seemed to be embracing her natural hair color and texture with a much longer hairstyle than we’re used to seeing her with. She’s officially proven that she’s one of those celebrities who looks just stunning with gray hair. Her locks were also full of volume with curls throughout. She wore her hair over one shoulder for an easy breezy, laid-back look. 

Olivia Colman strutted down the red carpet in an all-white Celine set that was the perfect pairing with her effortless long locks. Plenty of celebs have embraced going gray in recent years, and many of them have gotten an enthusiastic response from fans after letting their true hair color show. Yet, it’s hard to imagine anyone’s gray hair transformation getting better reception than Colman’s recent red carpet moment. 

“OLIVIA AND HER GORGEOUS HAIR” someone wrote on X, alongside two pics of Colman’s new ‘do at the “Wicker” premiere. As of writing, the tweet has raked in nearly 40,000 likes. Folks in the comments section were just as enthusiastic about the star’s new look. “[She’s] never looked better omg,” someone commented. “I’m in love with this hair, sooo beautiful,” added another X user. Someone else took the words right out of our mouths: “OMGGG THE GREY.” It can be nerve-wracking debuting a brand new hairstyle, and it’s easy to imagine just how much more daunting it might be in front of tons of people snapping pictures that will immediately be posted all over the internet. Yet, Colman is surely pleased with the response her hair transformation has received since its big red carpet debut.
