Man charged with attempted murder in Saturday stabbing
A 43-year-old man has been charged with first-degree attempted murder and two felony charges of aggravated battery after he was identified as the person who stabbed a man on the Near South Side early Saturday, Chicago police said.
Police said Hector Uriostegui was arrested at about 12:04 a.m. Satruday in the 3600 block of North Newland Avenue.
He had been identified as the person who stabbed and seriously wounded a 32-year-old man 15 minutes earlier in the 2200 block of South Michigan Avenue, police said.
Uriostegui has a detention hearing set for Sunday at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse, police said.
