Houthi strike on Saudi airport kills 1, injures 8 in Dammam
A Houthi strike on an airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, killed one person and injured eight others, according to the country’s aviation authority.
King Fahd International Airport in Dammam was targeted on Wednesday evening, the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said in a statement.
The agency said a resident was killed and all eight injured people were taken to hospitals for treatment. The attack also caused property damage, which officials are still assessing.
The Dammam airport attack follows renewed fighting between Yemen’s Houthi movement and Saudi Arabia and its coalition. Houthi missiles and drones have struck several airports and other facilities in the kingdom.
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has been targeted repeatedly. An October 12 strike on the airport killed 12 people and injured hundreds more.
The Houthis have also targeted Abha International Airport and facilities belonging to oil company Saudi Aramco, including its headquarters.
