2 teens charged with Loop carjacking
Two teenagers were charged with carjacking a man in the Loop Wednesday.
The teens, a boy and girl who are both 17 years old, are charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking and the boy was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and criminal damage to government property costing less than $500, Chicago police said.
The teens were arrested in the first block of West Randolph Street, about 15 minutes after they allegedly carjacked a 56-year-old man in the first block of West Monroe Street around 4 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
A weapon was found on the teen boy, officials said.
