2 hospitalized after being hit by gunfire while on CTA bus
Two people were shot while riding on a CTA bus in Englewood Wednesday afternoon, according to Chicago police.
A woman, 65, and a man, 57, were both on the bus in the 300 block of West 63rd Street at 4:40 p.m. when they were shot, police said.
The man, who suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper body, was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. The woman, struck in the left arm, was transported to the same hospital in fair condition, police said.
Police did not disclose whether the gunman was on the bus at the time of the shooting.
No one is in custody.
