Woman, 22, dies after shot in Little Village
A 22-year-old woman was fatally wounded after she was shot Saturday night in Little Village, Chicago police said.
The unidentified woman was standing on a street along the 2800 block of West 23rd Street around 8:43 p.m. when she reported hearing a loud noise and later feeling pain, police said.
She was transported by ambulance to Mount Sinai Hospital and was listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the armpit before later dying, police said.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
