Man charged with 2025 robbery of 82-year-old man in Belmont Cragin
A Chicago man was charged with robbing and battering an 82-year-old man last October in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood.
Keiber Sandoval Mendoza, 31, faces robbery and aggravated felony charges, Chicago police said.
On the morning of Oct. 13 last year, Mendoza allegedly approached the man in the 6000 block of West Diversey Avenue and took his property before fleeing, according to police.
The man suffered a cut to his head and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where his condition had stabilized, police said.
Mendoza was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
